the beginning

I’m working on the design of the prototype. I have three design pillars for three core emotions I want to players to feel (which emotions are secret!). I try to shape the prototype in order to achieve this. Today, I’ll inspect and design these:

  • let the player learn/explore the game mechanics without actual teaching
  • the greeting npc: dialogues, behaviors
  • the cozy home: first map of the prototype
  • the first toys: first objects and actions the player discoveres
